- From CHF 175 per infusion, self-pay service

Embedded personally in your gynaecological care.

Cycle Balance is a complementary infusion programme (magnesium, B-complex and vitamin B12 IV plus supplements) for symptoms in the luteal phase. It is embedded in a gynaecological assessment and is not a substitute for hormonal or pharmacological therapy. From CHF 175 per infusion, self-pay service.
At a glance
Ten days before your period, everything becomes harder: breast tenderness, irritability, restlessness, cramps, poor sleep, the feeling of not recognising yourself. And then the bleeding starts and it passes. If you recognise this pattern, it is not in your head and not a question of resilience. It is cycle-related and therefore medically classifiable. Cycle Balance is therefore intended for women whose symptoms are clearly tied to the cycle and who have a symptom-free interval after bleeding – not for a continuous burden without any cycle pattern. The infusion contains magnesium, B-complex and vitamin B12 intravenously, complemented by supplements for the time between appointments. How many infusions are given, and when they are scheduled, follows your cycle and the course of your symptoms and is decided together after the gynaecological assessment.
Concern
The most important point first
Cycle Balance is a complementary infusion programme for symptoms in the luteal phase – embedded in a gynaecological assessment, not applied in isolation.
Infusion from CHF 175 · medically assessed · usually several infusions are advisable.
Treatment
The decisive distinction
Before an infusion is discussed, one question must be clarified: is there a symptom-free interval after menstruation? That is why a consultation, not an infusion appointment, comes first.
- 01Yes, there are symptom-free days: this points to PMS or – with severe psychological burden – PMDD. Both are treatable, and Cycle Balance can be one component.
- 02No, the burden is continuous and worsens premenstrually: then something else is very likely present, and the treatment path is different. An infusion would be the wrong answer in this situation.
- 03In addition, the usual work-up: thyroid function, iron status, vitamin D status, sleep, medications and contraceptive method.
- 04It is also assessed whether hormonal treatment would be the more effective path for your situation – with pronounced PMS and PMDD it often is.
Who it's for
Who the programme is intended for
- PMS with physical and psychological symptoms in the second half of the cycle
- breast tenderness and fluid retention before menstruation
- mood swings and irritability with a clear cycle link
- vegetative restlessness, premenstrual sleep disturbances
- cramps and lower abdominal complaints
Programme
What the programme includes
Infusion
Magnesium intravenous
B-complex intravenous
Vitamin B12 intravenous
Accompanying supplements
Magnesium in a well-tolerated form (glycinate)
Vitamin B6
optional Agnus castus (chasteberry)
Why this composition
Magnesium is required for muscle and nervous system function and is used for cramp-like symptoms and vegetative restlessness. Vitamin B6 and other B vitamins are cofactors in neurotransmitter metabolism. Agnus castus is traditionally used for cycle-related symptoms and breast tenderness. The goal is a more stable luteal phase and better recovery.
Expectations
What you can realistically expect
For magnesium and vitamin B6 in PMS, there are indications of benefit, though from smaller studies of varying quality. For intravenous administration specifically, the evidence is weaker than for oral. We say this openly because you need to know it for your decision.
What follows from this
Cycle Balance is assessed over at least two to three cycles, with course documentation. If nothing changes, the programme is not continued but the treatment path is changed. Continuing an infusion series without effect is not treatment, it is a bill.
Cost
Frequency and cost
From CHF 175 per infusion. Cycle Balance is planned according to the cycle; usually several infusions over several cycles are needed. A single infusion does not allow for assessment.
Supplements, laboratory analyses and additional medical services are not included in the price and are billed separately. Costs are discussed transparently before treatment begins.
The programme is generally a self-pay service and is normally not covered by mandatory health insurance. The gynaecological work-up of your cycle symptoms is separate from this and is billed according to the usual rules.
Safety
Safety
Before every treatment, benefits, risks and contraindications are checked – in particular kidney function, cardiac arrhythmias and certain medications that interact with magnesium, as well as known allergies and intolerances. No unverified mixtures are administered without a compatibility check.
The programme does not replace necessary diagnostics or gynaecological or psychiatric therapy.
