Further information
At a glance
At a glance

The EMP Chair Pro is a treatment chair that uses high-intensity electromagnetic impulses (HI-EMP technology) to penetrate deep into the pelvic floor tissue, triggering controlled, involuntary contractions of the entire pelvic floor musculature – significantly more intense and targeted than voluntary training. The treatment is performed fully clothed, is non-invasive, painless, and requires neither anaesthesia nor downtime. Our device is additionally equipped with the back coil: the same magnetic wave technology can be applied to the back and core muscles of the lumbar region – a complement to pelvic floor training, since pelvic floor and trunk stability work together functionally.

  • Initial medical consultation with Dr. med. Anna M. Wagner, FMH Gynaecology
  • Structured assessment by Viktoria Vlachou, pelvic floor specialist
  • Individually adjusted programme and intensity
  • Complemented by home exercises and optionally GynEffik® Connect
Concern
01 – Concern

When the pelvic floor loses strength.

The pelvic floor is a muscular sling that supports the bladder, uterus and bowel, stabilises the spine, and controls bladder and bowel closure. Pregnancies and childbirth, hormonal changes during menopause, surgery, chronic strain (coughing, heavy lifting, excess weight) or simply increasing age can cause this muscle group to lose strength and coordination.

Typical consequences are involuntary urine loss when coughing, sneezing, laughing or during physical activity (stress incontinence), frequent or sudden urinary urgency (urge or mixed incontinence), a feeling of pressure or a foreign body in the pelvis (prolapse symptoms), as well as limitations in intimate life. These symptoms are widespread – and treatable.

The EMP Chair Pro is an additional, effective tool in the treatment spectrum: it complements pelvic floor physiotherapy, pessaries, local oestrogens and – where indicated – surgical procedures.

Process
04 – Process

How I accompany you – from first contact to the results conversation.

From the initial medical consultation to the interim review after the 5th session – every step is planned and documented together with you.

  1. Step 01

    Initial medical consultation

Dr. Wagner discusses your symptoms, findings and treatment options and determines together with you whether and in what form the EMP Chair training is suitable for you.

  2. Step 02

Assessment by Viktoria Vlachou, pelvic floor specialist

Before treatment begins, you complete an initial evaluation questionnaire; Viktoria Vlachou, our pelvic floor specialist, performs a structured assessment. A vaginal examination of the pelvic floor muscles may be performed to assess muscle function – and, where clinically useful, again during the course of treatment.

  3. Step 03

    Settings and treatment series

Programme and intensity are individually tailored to you and gradually adjusted over the course of treatment. Sessions typically take place once or twice per week (approx. 28 minutes per session, fully clothed).

  4. Step 04

Home exercises · optional GynEffik® Connect

In addition, you receive pelvic floor exercises for home use. As treatment progresses, home electrostimulation with GynEffik® Connect may also be recommended – a vaginal pelvic floor electrostimulator (Class IIa medical device), typically three sessions of 30 minutes per week.

  5. Step 05

Interim review after the 5th session

We discuss the progress so far together and adjust the treatment plan. You then decide in writing whether the series should be continued.

  6. Step 06

    After treatment

You can resume your normal daily routine immediately after the session. Follow-up appointments can be booked at reception or conveniently online via Doctena.
