In an uncomplicated pregnancy, you typically see the midwife three times, once per trimester, alternating with the medical check-ups. Pregnancy raises many questions – practical, physical and emotional. In the midwife consultation, we take the time for these in a calm setting, complementing your medical pregnancy check-ups, at the same location.

The entire practice team speaks English – both the midwife consultation and the medical pregnancy care with Dr. Wagner are fully available in English. A dedicated English website is in preparation.

    Bring your maternity record or pregnancy documents, medication list and relevant findings. Note your most important questions beforehand.

    3 · Personal consultation

    The midwife discusses your main concern and explains the next steps. Dr. Wagner is directly coordinated with when medical clarification is needed.

  4. Step 04

    Birth preparation

    Stages of labour, breathing and movement, pain relief options, the role of your companion, preparation for breastfeeding.

  5. Step 05

    Antenatal class (1 hour)

    A compact class with the midwife: the individual stages of labour, pain relief and epidural anaesthesia, caesarean section and what to expect in the delivery room. Covered by basic insurance.

  6. Step 06

    Acupuncture for birth preparation

    Offered by the midwife, usually from around 36 weeks. Paid directly at the practice – you receive a receipt that many supplementary insurance policies for complementary medicine reimburse.
